The McShin Foundation Difference

Here at The McShin Foundation, we have an authentic peer-oriented social model program. The first thirty days is our most critical period of our recovery. It is at this time we make our greatest inroads in building our recovery foundation. We implement rapid entry into involvement with available pathways to long term successful recovery. We begin to instill a genuine desire in the individual to chase their recovery by the example in which we do recover. By this time, the individual should be well on their way in recovery. Through authentic peer-oriented guidance, the individual has a good understanding of what it takes to recover on a daily basis. The longer the individual stays in an authentic peer-oriented system of care, the greater are their chances at full recovery from their Substance Use Disorder.

From Richmond International Airport (RIC) get on I-64 W from Richard E Byrd Terminal Dr and S Airport Dr. Head east on Richard E Byrd Terminal Dr and keep left to stay on Richard E Byrd Terminal Dr. Slight right onto S Airport Dr and use the right lane to merge onto I-64 W via the ramp to I-95/Richmond. Continue on I-64 W to Richmond. Take exit 80 from I-95 N and merge onto I-64 W. Keep right to stay on I-64 W then keep left at the fork to continue on I-95 N. Take exit 80 toward VA-161/Hermitage Rd. Take VA-161 N and Dumbarton Rd to Clarke St in Lakeside and merge onto Westbrook Ave. Turn right onto VA-161 N/Hermitage Rd (continue to follow VA-161 N), and turn left onto Dumbarton Rd. Turn right onto Wilson Ave then turn right at the 1st cross street onto Clarke St. The McShin Foundation will be on the right.
We are open Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 20:00, and Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 - 17:00.

The McShin Foundation is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, to host recovery support and reoccurrence of use prevention groups, authentic peer support groups,12-step meetings, family education and support meetings, grief support groups, faith-based resources, and holistic approaches to recovery including acupuncture and yoga.
